I will drink Life to the lees.
Ulysses By Alfred Tennyson
It little profits that an idle king, By this still hearth, among these barren crags, Match’d with an aged wife, I mete and dole Unequal laws unto a savage race, That hoard, and sleep, and feed, and know not me.
I cannot rest from travel; I will drink Life to the lees. All times I have enjoy’d Greatly, have suffer’d greatly, both with those That loved...

Back to the Dark Ages.
Made it back to the homeland a couple of days ago and already, trouble has reared its ugly head in paradise: an island-wide electrical outage, flash flood warning and high winds have struck the little island of O’ahu. Though the outage was said to last up to 24 hours, my town was lucky enough to be back up and running within 12.
Life without electricity (even for a mere 12 hours) made me...

Recycling is Garbage

However, today’s issue of the New York Times reports a severe drop in the demand of recycled materials due to the poor state of the global economy.
In the article, an employee of a recycling company...

Hallucinations
I’ve been infatuated with the Ravonettes’ newest album Lust, Lust, Lust [2007] recently and just picked it up on vinyl at the new Gruv at the end of Broadway (next door to the old one). If you haven’t been there yet, you should! Since my last visit, there’s been an expanded vinyl section and those high ceilings really do the trick. And if vinyl isn’t your thing,...
