I’ve been infatuated with the Ravonettes’ newest album Lust, Lust, Lust [2007] recently and just picked it up on vinyl at the new Gruv at the end of Broadway (next door to the old one). If you haven’t been there yet, you should! Since my last visit, there’s been an expanded vinylsection and those high ceilings really do the trick. And if vinyl isn’t your thing, there’s an abundance of sweet movies and CDs to please!
So without further a due, here’s that crazy duo comprised of Mr. Sune Rose Wagner and Ms. Sharin Foo performing “Hallucinations” for your listening pleasure:
The band’s first album, Pretty in Black[2005], is also a fine album that is quite a kickback to the 60’s. For you fellow doo-woppers out there, I’m sure you’ll dig their cover of “My Boyfriend’s Back” or groove to “Here’s Comes Mary” and “Uncertain Times”. Check it!
