Found a great clip of young Michael in spankin’ purple threads performing “Who’s Lovin’ You” as part of the Jackson 5. The song was recorded in 1969 and is on the group’s first LP, ‘Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5’, which was released by Motown— the sound of young America. To this day, the Jackson 5’s version of the song is unsurpassed by covers performed by Lauren Hill, the Temptations, En Vouge, and the Supremes.

The song was originally written by Smokey Robinson while he was with his group, the Miracles. It’s about a relationship gone wrong and the heartbreak that follows as a forsaken fellow thinks of his departed love. Simplistic and lonesome, “Who’s Lovin’ You” is truly a song that speaks to those afflicted over ‘the one that got away’.
