    TV Networks Fight Drug-Ad Measure

    I support this measure. Drug advertising has changed the traditional system of patients going to a doctor who prescribes a drug for the patient. With the clever placement of TV ads, it is now the patient that demands a drug from the doctor. Although some may argue that patients are now more informed about the different options of pharmaceuticals at their disposal, it is undisputed that the gigantic advertising expenses taken on by pharmaceutical companies have resulted in higher costs for the drugs themselves.
